Overview

The Sand Elements 6-piece Knife Block Set is built around range rather than repetition. Five knives cover precision prep, serrated slicing, all-round chopping, Santoku work and carving, then store together in the supplied Edge block.

You get an 8.6cm paring knife, 11.5cm serrated utility knife, 19.6cm chef’s knife, 11.5cm Santoku knife and 19cm carving knife. Stainless-steel blades are paired with light Sand ABS handles for a coordinated finish.

The sixth piece is the 22.8 x 18 x 10.8cm storage block. It uses recycled polypropylene with stainless steel and sits on a non-slip base, keeping the different blade profiles organised and readily accessible.

Treat the set as precision cutlery rather than general tools: cut only on wood or plastic, avoid twisting or levering with a knife tip, and dry blades promptly. Dishwasher cleaning is possible, but hand washing is recommended to protect the edge and finish.

Care and use

Handle the knives carefully while cutting
Use a wooden or plastic cutting board. Avoid marble, stone and glass, which can dull or chip the blades
The knives are dishwasher friendly, but hand washing is recommended to preserve the edges and prevent contact damage
Dry the knives promptly and place them securely in the block without allowing the blades to knock together
